The Nice region and the pre-Alpes (Les Alpes-Maritimes) is one of the most stunning areas in the world for road biking. It is magnificent and challenging. Challenge iconic climbs known from the Tour de France, such as Col de Braus, Col d'Eze, Col de la Madone, Col de Colmiane or pedal along the coast to Italy.

We offer guided and self-guided tours in following difficulty levels. They are all custom made and we do not do 'mass production' bike tours like many other local services, but listen to which experiences you look for on your days of cycling.
Lifesparkz Bike Tours only provides bike rentals if you book a self-guided or guided tour with us. We are NOT a bike rental service as such.
We offer packages including hotels, bikes, local guides and support services, which we tailor to your time and whishes for cycling. We can include other activities, such as visit at special sites in Southern France, include sessions of strenght training, pilates or other specific sports trainings with English speaking sports coaches, who are certified in France. Or we can create gastronomic experiences, boat trips or other activities that suit your group.
In June 2027 we invite you to cycle the mythical Route Des Grands Alps with us! With a start in Geneve we ride through the Alps over iconic mountain tops that are known from the Tour de France. It is a 10 days journey of road bike cycling towards the sunny coast in Nice. The tour is an all-inclusive cycling challenge, where we take care of organising hotels, luggage transfers, meals and a support car. All you have to think about is enjoying the freedom to climbing cols, spend time with fellow cyclists and pushing the legs!
Tour description of Route Des Grands Alps
If you prefer to explore on your own you can get one of our self-guided packages. The packages are tailormade to your holiday plans. They include a phone or video call, where we advise you on the best routes to pick depending on your itinerary plus a package of GPX-files that you can download. They can also include bike rental and booking of accommodation if you stay in one location. At the moment we do not offer luggage transfers for self-guided travelers in France.
We use the levels below as a starting point for creating your cycling days, we need in general info about your experience in cycling (incl. cycling in mountains), you average pace, the distance and m+ that you look for to ride per day.
We offer a variety of pre-designed tours but are happy to customize an experience based on your preferences. Dates, times, and starting points are arranged directly with you, with departures from the Nice region in Alpes-Maritimes, France.
Seasons: Our favorite months for cycling are October-June. June-October are hot.
These tours are for cycling enthusiasts who love to explore new landscapes and enjoy the challenge of biking the scenic and mountainous roads of the Côte d’Azur.
Participants should have experience with road cycling and feel confident on a bike. If you are relatively new to road biking, we can organize tours in quieter areas to help you get comfortable with your bike and cycling techniques.
A good physical condition is recommended, as the climbs can be challenging.
Our team can guide you on road bike, hybrid bike, gravel bike tours or (e-bike versions possible in some circumstances).
You can book a tour either with or without rental of a quality bike. A helmet is often provided with a bike rental. Shoes and cycling clothing are not included in the tours. If you prefer to travel light, you can purchase or rent Lifesparkz cycling apparel, made from high-quality Santini materials.
We collaborate with a number of trusted bike rental services in the Côte d’Azur.
We are NOT a bike rental service as such, and we do not offer bike rentals starting in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
We are happy to help and only provides bike rental when you book a self-guided or guided tour through us.
For safety and a more personal experience, we recommend groups of up to 8 people per guide. Larger groups can be accommodated with additional guides.
